Saturn in Sagittarius Retrograde 2015 – Dour Optimism

Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Saturn is currently picking up speed in the sky. When it turned retrograde on March 12, it had already been at the same degree in the sky for over a month, since February 9. From February 9 to April 17 — just three days ago — Saturn remained at that same degree, 4 Sagittarius.

When Saturn is retrograde, business, projects, commitments undergo scrutiny. Since Saturn’s domain is the world of boundaries, rules, structures, process, supports (as in column beams), these are all being re-negotiated during Saturn’s retrograde period. You may choose to restructure a contract, change (mutable Saturn) the existing  framework of a project, consider your energy allotment and allocation, improve the organization of a commitment.

Saturn is the planet of sweat equity. He is the ruler of the golden age. There is astrological thought bandied about (sometimes we astrologers unfasten our elegant chiffon dresses and bandy thoughts about, picture it…..) that Saturn’s rulership over the golden age is because the thoroughness, consistency, and quality of the work that Saturn demands yields copious and luscious fruit.

Coming to today, I have noticed that since Saturn has picked up some celestial miles it has been dislodging what I am calling psychological Saturn debris. People are feeling a bit down, questioning their worth, thinking their work is miserable and that they will never amount to anything, that they should pack it up and go home, so long folks, the journey has been great but it’ll never work, and on, and on. Papancha.

People. Get a hold of yourselves. Snap out of it.

If you have been feeling this way, there is an upshot. You now have the opportunity to assess the ways in which you might actually suck a little bit. Then you can think of how you would like to improve, make a concrete plan to improve, and implement it. Then you can go out and have some fun with your friends, your children, or animal buddies — because it’s time to lighten the f up. Hang out with a Leo or other fire sign, chat it up with an Air sign, and get some joie de vivre in you. You’ve worked hard. Inject some joy into your existence. Release the drudge, get genuinely happy, then get back to work. And when you do, work in earnest. Then…. PROFIT!! Is that how the meme goes? I Saturned the meme.

Saturn will remain retrograde until August 1-2, 2015, depending on which hemisphere of the globe you reside. Hi Aussies. *waves*

On May 14 -16, Mars in Gemini will oppose Saturn in Sagittarius. This could be kind of tetchy. Especially for the Aries and Scorpios among you. Expect people (and yourself) to be exacting and demanding. There is however a great potential to be laser beam focused on a project, and get a lot of quality work done. This is a great time to the philosophize the hell out of something and to produce results. See? Two sides to every transit. If you want to be an astro pro — create a container for people to be intellectually or artistically expansive while needing to get something solid on paper…or canvas… or film. Think details and the grind.

Take care out there, readers.

Warmly,
Ichrak

“Rome was mud and smoky skies; the rank smell of the Tiber and the exotically spiced cooking fires of a hundred different nationalities. Rome was white marble and gilding and heady perfumes; the blare of trumpets and the shrieking of market-women and the eternal, sub-aural hum of more people, speaking more languages than Gaius had ever imagined existed, crammed together on seven hills whose contours had long ago disappeared beneath this encrustation of humanity. Rome was the pulsing heart of the world.”

Hello, I think your website could possibly be having internet
browser compatibility issues. Whenever I look at your web site in Safari, it
looks fine however, when opening in IE, it’s got some overlapping
issues. I simply wanted to provide you with
a quick heads up! Besides that, wonderful blog!
