I have had a most rare vision. I have had a dream—past the wit of man to say what dream it was. Man is but an ass if he go about to expound this dream. Methought I was—there is no man can tell what. Methought I was, and methought I had—but man is but a patched fool if he will offer to say what methought I had. The eye of man hath not heard, the ear of man hath not seen, man’s hand is not able to taste, his tongue to conceive, nor his heart to report what my dream was.

Today Mercury enters Sagittarius. In the spirit of Sagittarius, let’s take a look at at some of the longer term transits we’re working with, keeping a big picture view in mind.
In Sagittarius Mercury is considered to be in its detriment. That means that the Mercury function is considered by ancient authorities to be too broad sweeping, too bombastic, too generalistic to be doing proper Mercury things like analyzing, cutting, and slicing reality to create logical, coherent, and measured understandings about it.
However, for the first 10 degrees of Sagittarius, Mercury is strong by decan, so he has some sway here. Further, Mercury is now in a mutual reception with Jupiter in Virgo. These two planets grant each other the strength of their individual places. So Mercury can now see way far ahead, and can see the meaning in the ideas it is now sharing, all without failing to account for the details, remembering to address situations with a strong measure of objectivity — a quality I consider to be Virgo’s forte.
The first face — the first ten degrees (0-9) — of Sagittarius is the fastest face of the sign, and perhaps the entire Zodiac. So there is an impulse think quickly, synthesize quickly, and “press send” quickly. Decisions now being considered benefit from being sifted through the cheesecloth of Jupiter in Virgo.
This year’s trip into Sagittarius is poignant for Mercury. Through Mercury, we will be able to cognize the qualities of the now nearly exact Saturn-Neptune square as he approaches the square over the course of the next week.
When Mercury meets with Saturn on the 25th, we will be in a position to take a building stance on our dreams, as Mars makes a sextile to both bodies in Sagittarius on the same day. This is an extended moment in time when there might be cooperative deliberation, conversation, or action taken that serves to clarify the organization of a decision that is in the process of being made, plans that are being drawn, or negotiations that are proceeding. On these days there could be a development that comes through negotiation, a realization, or a helpful message.
Once again, the first decan of Sagittarius is speedy. Make sure to be aware of making hasty decisions. Exercise patience-as-fortitude and allow reality to unfold and sink in before you give away the barn. In a world where every electronic beep and buzz demand our immediate attention, pace and slowness are virtues.
One of the main messages of Saturn Neptune as I see it is, Dreams and Visions Take Time To Develop.
Also, Have The Boldness To Dream Big, and act on your big dreams. That requires effort and faith. This Saturn is a flexible Saturn that is able to adjust architecture to suit different situations. Watch out for that. Especially with Neptune providing the very strong but subtle siren song to potentially allow structures to weaken. Create a set of objective standards to check any upcoming developments against. This is an exercise in proper boundaries that will save you energy, time, and head space.
That said, 2016 is a year when major dream realizing and life transformation can happen. Not only is the Saturn Neptune square going through a full three exact aspects through September of 2016, but Jupiter is opposite Chiron twice more in 2016, Jupiter squares Saturn twice more, and Jupiter trines Pluto twice more, all wrapping up in exactness by September.
In other words, if you are looking for a change in your life based in a
deeply authentic vision and desire of what is possible for you in this life, here is a year+ long window of golden opportunity. Notice that Virgo, Capricorn, Saturn and Pisces are heavily implicated in all the aspects named. This is heavy duty healing and dreaming energy, that also requires elbow grease (personal effort), objective clarity, and the willingness to have a vision and apply glue to it. This is co-creative energy at its most sumptuous. Work with this. Develop a vision, develop a plan to realize that vision, break the goals down, schedule milestone developments in a calendar, and pray. Recognize that something big happens through you only in conjunction with forces greater than the skin and bones that hold your organs and your soul in place.
As a final note I am developing a guide for the first Saturn Neptune square and I hope to have it out to you by next week. Stay tuned for that.
Take good care.
Warmly,
Ichrak
