The Sun will conjoin Neptune at 22 degrees Pisces on Saturday March 12. This aspect is building until then.

This planetary duo coming together in Pisces is a double serving of imagination and mystery, as both the planets and the sign have threads of this theme in them. The Neptunian influence is pre-verbal, primal, imaginative, visual, vast and oceanic. It can be an entry-way to understanding ourselves, the Universe, the cosmos, some higher truth, on an experiential level. Nature, art, movies, poetry, still quiet time, meditation, beautiful musical compositions, can all be door ways into this experience.

But Neptune can also be illusory, influencing us to see something that isn’t there. Maybe we build an identity or a perception into someone, that isn’t actually them or that they aren’t actually having. Or maybe we’re tempted to do that about a situation.

This can be a sensitizing influence that really opens up the deeper pathways of perception. I love this for people who have practices that get them in touch with some modality of healing or creating – like learning about the properties of a particular herb by imbibing it, or listening for the message of the hummingbird by watching it, or understanding the deeper meaning of a mountain, a flowing brook, or a shoot bursting from the ground.

Because Mercury is also in Pisces now, through the weekend I would not try to force anything logical, linear, or overly structured. Instead be open to synchronicity and the voiceless voice that reaches out through the movements and signs in nature.

Sometimes this oceanic Pisces energy can feel overwhelming. It’s certainly very emotional. If you feel overwhelmed, I suggest making a list of things that ground you and get you back into your presence and into your body. That might be a very simple breathing practice. That might be a commitment to journaling, or your morning pages. That might a naming practice where you name what you can see, hear, smell, taste, touch in the environment immediately around you. It might be a reconnection to your broader goals, reminding yourself to prioritize and narrow your focus. Or it might be indulging some escapism into a series or a good book.

While the Sun Neptune aspect does begin to separate after March 12, we do still have some Big Pisces Energy (TM) (JK) coming in with the Jupiter Neptune conjunction next month. So establishing a daily routine and having those anchors in place will be very helpful in general and especially in the near term. <3
