Paesaggio Notturno, 1908 by Teodoro Wolf Ferrari (Italian, 1878–1945)

Hi friends. I just wanted to pop on here and share about the Sun-Saturn conjunction that has been ongoing for about a week and a half now. This conjunction can be particularly rough. Psychologically, it can predispose us to giving ourselves a hard time or giving other people a hard time with high expectations and perfectionist tendencies. Sun Saturn conjunctions can be really demanding and unforgiving.

It’s easy during these times to self-criticize in a harsh way or experience depressive episodes, or feel particularly down, or like you’re not enough. And to just really get down on yourself. And even though there was a window during the moment of the exact conjunction on February 4th, where there could have been an opening of clarity that involves leaning into Saturn themes, like long-term thinking and not short-term results and the marathon over the sprint, and leaning into hard work, and discipline, routine, consistency and the mundane, over the flashy or exciting, all of that could have been a doorway or an opening into resolving some of the Saturn issues that could otherwise plague us as feelings of not enoughness.

This conjunction is still ongoing for about another week. So up until about February 14th, this energy is on the way out.

So, just be aware of that. Be aware of these hypercritical narratives that can pop up and the countermeasures to balance out the overbearing Saturn energy if you’re experiencing it that way. Do things that bring light, life, perspective, wisdom, and illumination — all of these sun qualities. Even being in the sun and letting the sun shine on your skin, or sun gazing when it’s safe during sunrise and sunset can all be helpful to counteract that kind of harsh Saturn energy, but just in case this is coming up for you, or there’s a feeling of a choice or of dissatisfaction, or criticism or harshness, just know that the energy is on the way out and there are solutions. Solutions are likely to have to do with thinking in terms of long-term, rather than short term and also leaning into wisdom from ancient places or older places or trusted wise people or authority figures or trusted bodies of knowledge — all of these Saturn archetypes — can all be modes and methods to move through the heaviness of this conjunction.

So fear not! The energies are on their way out. We still have a whole bunch of Saturn energy in the sky this week. So many of the inner planets are in Saturn ruled signs, but we are moving through. So I just wanted to give you a heads up about that. Wishing you well and so much love.
