Saturn stations direct August 13, 2016 at 9 degrees 47 minutes Sagittarius at 5:50 am EDT.

The most distant visible planet, Saturn rules over the structures that support life and the boundaries that differentiate between objects.

When Saturn turned retrograde in March, it initiated a several month long inner process of gestation. A seed was planted at that time, with an extended underground germination process. In human terms something has been being worked and re-worked, internally or cooperatively, and its time to become manifest is now within view.

Saturn’s pace is slow – which gives it its association with thoroughness, and its effects long lasting – which gives it its association with substance.

In the case of a personal Saturn transit – the best way to work with the energy of this planet is to acknowledge reality as it is, and to be purposeful about the authorship over the stories of your life.

Saturn rewards the marathon runner. Having an eye to the future and deliberately investing in the care of fruits that will only yield after an extended time of diligent effort.

In Sagittarius, Saturn particularly rewards actions taken which are rooted in ethics, in a hopeful vision for the future, with responsible expansion in mind.

Saturn always reveals the truth, the real facts, the reality. Acknowledging these (for real) always allows for more graceful shaping of the physical world. And that’s what Saturn wants – your imprint, how you would have things go given the reality of the situation.

Neptune and Saturn have been in an ongoing dance since November of 2015, which may have served to obscure or dissolve discernible boundaries of a situation. Neptune’s commingling with Saturn is a story that will take a while to reveal itself in fullness. Being an outer planet, Neptune is one of those slow movers that brings a volume of experience that is much more condensed than an individual can process alone. A whole group of people may be better suited for the long term and deeply impactful effects of the outer planets. Squaring Saturn, Neptune acts as a kind of iridescence in consciousness that in moments unveils whole worlds that require months and years if not more to fully explore, let alone assimilate.

This week and next week flank Saturn’s direct station. This moment in time is potent with Saturnian energy – and is perhaps the purest bell tone of Saturn’s energy we will get until Saturn’s next station in 2017. Saturn’s message for our lives – a message that so often has to do with order, the mature handling of a situation, and the benefits of discipline, for starters – will be loud and clear. It is worth physically recording the events, emotions, and desires of this moment. When Saturn and Neptune square off for the third time in September, that clarity may be awash in a bit of distortion and unreality, something from the far reaches of time, space, history, or your psyche, coloring what is beginning to congeal into solidity for the remainder of August.

Wishing you a Saturn station of clarity,
Warmly,
Ichrak
